RSA 505

Five 505s sailed at the Tour de Vlei regatta this past weekend. Sailing was great and all had a great time. The wind also played along and all members of the class were happy to get back onto the water. The results were as follows: 1. J Largier, R Hutton-squire, 2. David Rae/Sean v Rensburg. The next event is Jonsson Cup in Durban followed by the SAS Grand Slam the weekend afterwards. 

The 2020 Grand Slam event was a great success. All Covid 19 protocols were enforced and adhered to in order to ensure that this was a safe haven. Racing was good and the wind played its part and it was great to see the new team of Vermaak and Milln racing at the front of the fleet. 3 races were sailed on Sunday and a further 3 races on Sunday morning, before the wind died at around lunchtime. The results of the event are under the results section.
